What is the Delisting of Shops on Daraz?

You might think that you will never face this situation of delisting by Daraz. Because your performance is outstanding on the platform. And you have always been a policy complaint seller. But sorry to break your bubble, this is not the case all the time. Your shop is still at risk of being delisted.

Often you will not even realize that your shop has been delisted. Until your customers start asking you questions about restocking the products and you will wonder why? because you are aware that you have the items in stock.

So don’t get confused. We will cover all the relevant issues that can lead to delisting. And explain briefly what exactly means to be delisted and what you should do.

Delisting:

You will be notified through email that your shop has been delisted. This means that your daily order limit is set to zero for the next 7 days. In simple words, all your product will be made offline or out of stock on the web page for a week.

What causes Delisting?

This is caused when Daraz Seller Policy is breached. Or your performance is below what is set by the platform therefore scorecards are very necessary to maintain. This means that the cancellation rate has exceeded than 2%, or the response time is more than preferred which is 80%. If you have reached over SLA time to ship your orders is that within 2 days of receiving the orders? Or your return rate from your end is more than 2%. This is especially significant in the case of small sellers whose weekly orders are no more than 2-3. And if you even cancel a single order over your years of journey with Daraz it can still lead to delisting. Your orders are limited to 2-3 per week and one cancellations can exceed this limit.

Also, Cancellation from the seller’s end is counted and all orders canceled by the customer will have no impact. This is also valid for returns from customers. For small sellers, if a single customer returns the order it can still lead to delisting even if the return was not valid or the customer has falsified. So in the beginning it is necessary to be conscious. You can record videos while packaging to avoid irrelevant returns or fake claims and always review the products twice that you publish for the campaign. Often sellers mistakenly provide a discount out of their budget when submitting products for the campaign and it leads them to cancel orders. How to Solve this after delisting from Daraz?

The email sent to your registered ID will have an autogenerated form attached. And you will be required to fill it out. It will have questions about what led you to this situation and how it can be improved. And no steps are further required. Nothing will make your shop online again. Your shop will be made offline for the next 7 days and then automatically will be live again after completing the required period.

what are the consequences of delisting?

If your shop has been delisted for a consecutive 6 scorecards cycle then it will be permanently banned for the platform This is very rare and often Daraz gives multiple chances to good performing Sellers. Delisting will automatically reduce your chance to participate in campaigns which will also lead to in loss of spaces for seller picks.

Daraz encourages a fair trade Policy for the best-selling experience. It is beneficial to both the seller and the buyer. Therefore, Daraz has introduced Seller Compliance Policy.  Any violation of the policy will lead to a non-compliance point (NCP) which leads to delisting

What is Non-Compliance Point (NCP)?

They are measured on a scale of 48 points. After which the shop gets completely deactivated. And the seller will no longer be able to register any shop on Daraz with the same CNIC or email address. This Non Compliance point can be seen from the seller dashboard. Just sign in to the seller account and Go to Under “Growth center in “Policy Compliance”.

The points can only get reset after 365 days. Thus, it is important to avoid them in the first place as they cannot be turned back. On getting between 0-11 points, the seller will be penalized by giving a warning. On the further increase of the point between the range of 12-23. The seller and his products will be blocked from category and search pages for 7 days. On the further increase of points between 24-35. Not only products will be blocked from the category and search page for 14 days, but sellers will also not be able to list new products. This will be applicable for 14 days. When NCP points equal to or gets above 48. The shop will be permanently deactivated. No new shop can be opened from the same NIC or email address.

Thus seller compliance policy must adhere to all policies given:

Listing Restricted Brand:

Listing any product that falls under the category of the restricted brand gives NCP. Meaning that any seller selling this product without the request authorization documents will lead to  48 NCP points. It is important to research before purchasing any product. To know more about what products are restricted or only allowed for sellers with authorization documents, Click the link “What products are restricted on Daraz for selling 2020-Guide?”. It will help get further insight into the subject.

Seller Behavior Policy:

This Policy is purely based on the interaction of the seller with the buyer or Daraz employees and vice versa. It includes any offense that is related to causing bodily harm, issuing threats, unsolicited communication( sending any messages that are considered spam or one which has nothing to do with selling on Daraz, using any official communication channel provided by Daraz), requesting order cancellation to buyer, sharing contact details or asking a buyer to purchase the product out of Daraz, profanity, hate speech, misbehavior with anyone on the platform. All of these factors can lead to a violation of policy and have severe consequences and the seller may be issued 48 points as a result.

Fair Trade Policy:

These cover all the fraudulent activities that are prohibited to be committed by a seller to maintain a trustworthy environment for the buyers. Any seller maliciously ordering, evaluating, or complaining about other sellers i.e. sellers’ use of a member account to place orders to make the fellow seller out of stock, or purchase a product to provide reviews or complaints against the other. The policy also covers seller self-promotion in way of ordering their product to increase their performance on Daraz by providing a positive review. Using illegal means to defraud the platform policies and illegal profits. Creating false shipments, misusing Daraz packaging or reselling it outside the platform, sending empty or unrelated products, violating any intellectual property rights, etc. All of these are part of Fair Trade policy and in all cases must be avoided.

Product Guidelines Policy to avoid delisting:

This policy requires sellers to follow proper product guidelines. Prohibited, misleading, fake, duplicate, counterfeit, a product with contact information, incorrectly tagged in the product category, a product with bad customer feedback, keyword spam, and change of product description after it goes live in a campaign, all such acts are considered as product guidelines violation. Which can lead to delisting and probably deactivation of the seller account on Daraz.

Conclusion:

These were all the policies currently applicable as of the latest 2022, Daraz has the right to change, add or eliminate any policy. To enhance the performance on the platform all sellers must adhere to the above. It will benefit the seller from being charged with any Non-Compliance Point. And to avoid getting delisted on Daraz.
